I’ll start by telling you about your progress.
I think you’re still doing well, despite your teeth coming in and making things a bit tough for you.
We’re continuing your progress to help you get rid of your feeding tube.
The speech therapists and nutritionist are doing a remarkable job.
Yesterday, the speech therapist even told us we’re on the “home stretch” and brought us a baby high chair to see how you do.
Your breathing is stable. Still on oxygen, but you’re managing quite well.
And as for your motor skills, you’re continuing to make progress.
These last two days have also been full for you.
On Monday, you had a visit from Tia Tia, your godmother Jaqueline, and Tio Tio Rafael.
They brought you some small gifts and a box of chocolates that didn’t last long!
And yesterday, you had a visit from two people who had come to see you when you were fighting for your life last May.
I’m talking about Grandma Michelle and Grandpa Robert.
You can’t imagine how happy they were to see you!
They brought you a mountain of toys, gifts from all the family and friends from France, medications that cost a fortune in Brazil, health tools we bought in Europe, and also a small stash of sausage, cheese, and chocolate for mom and dad, haha.
Originally, before you got sick, the plan was to go to France for Christmas so you could meet your French family, especially your great-grandmother.
Unfortunately, that’s not possible, but at least we’ll have Grandma and Grandpa with us for Christmas.
Yesterday, we also posted the latest family introduction post on Instagram, and it was your mom’s turn.
Speaking of your mom, I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you that she’s doing an exceptional job with you.
She looks for the best doctors, the best food, the best care, and all the best things so you can quickly get back on your feet.
She invests so much in helping you, son. And every day, she prays for you.
I have to go quickly, because the days are too short.
