Before it was an association, this site was a news diary for the family and friends of a baby in hospital. This space is still his.
Gabriel was born on 6 April 2025 in Fortaleza, Brazil. At three weeks old, bronchiolitis sent him to hospital. To keep family and friends informed, between France and Brazil, his dad started this blog and wrote every day.
The blog stayed. Then the family’s financial difficulties led to the creation of the association in August 2025. Out of the association came BO Community, the support platform for families, and then Les Cols du Souffle, in August 2026.
This part of the site is about him: his story, his diary and the messages you send him.
From his birth until today, the key dates: hospital, ECMO, diagnosis, coming home, life without oxygen.
April to October 2025. 126 posts written for family and friends, day after day, during his hospital stay and his first weeks at home.
Since November 2025 the tone changes: his dad no longer reports, he writes to him. 45 letters he will read one day.
