Who is responsible

The website hopeforgabriel.com is published by Hope For Gabriel, a French non-profit association (RNA W692011975, SIREN 102 892 866) based in Belleville-en-Beaujolais (Rhône, France). The association is the controller of the personal data collected on this site.

What data, and why

We only collect the data you give us, for a specific purpose:

Joining the tribe (newsletter): first name, country, preferred language, email and, if you wish, phone number. Purpose: sending you news from the association and from Gabriel. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
Contact form: name, email, message. Purpose: replying to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling your request.
Messages of support (“Send some love”): name, email, optional website and message. Your name and message are published on the site; your email never is.
Donations: they are processed by HelloAsso, PayPal or your bank (Pix). We receive the information needed to manage the donation (name, email, amount), never your banking details.

We never sell or rent any data, and we do no advertising profiling.

Who has access

Data is only accessible to the volunteers on the association’s board, some of whom live in Brazil. It is hosted or processed by the following providers:

Hostinger: website hosting;
Brevo (France): email sending and subscriber management;
HelloAsso (France) and PayPal: donation collection;
Google reCAPTCHA: protection of forms against bots. This service may transfer technical data to the United States.

How long

Tribe subscribers: until you unsubscribe, which takes one click in every email.
Messages received through the contact form: at most three years after the last exchange.
Published messages of support: until you ask us to remove them.
Donation data: for the period required by accounting obligations.

Cookies and audience measurement

The site uses neither Google Analytics nor advertising cookies. Audience measurement is done by a tool installed on our own server, without cookies and without sharing data with third parties.

A few technical cookies are set: remembering your language, your choice on the consent banner, and anti-bot protection of forms (Google reCAPTCHA).

Photos of Gabriel

The photos and stories about Gabriel are published by his parents, who hold parental authority. Please do not reuse them without their permission.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format, by writing to contact@hopeforgabriel.com. We reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
