His oxygen saturation deteriorated yesterday.
For this reason, the doctor decided to change his tube to one with a balloon, which allows for greater lung expansion for breathing.
A blood transfusion was given at 2 AM, which also helped to increase his saturation.
It’s 3:49 AM, his saturation is stable around 85.
New blood culture tests were initiated last night.

His saturation oscillates around 80
They took blood samples and did an X-ray.

Update at 6:40 PM:
We feel there’s a slight improvement. His saturation oscillates between 84 and we’ve seen it go up to 88!
However, the morning blood test results and X-ray were not better.
Perhaps an improvement in the afternoon?
The hospital is taking his case very seriously, and we feel much better supported.
His uncle surprised us by arriving at 3 AM from Sao Paulo, a support that really helps us.
The medical team is considering installing an ECMO. As this procedure is serious and not without risks, they are studying its feasibility and preparing, if necessary, if there’s no improvement.
They have added an antifungal antibiotic.
