Today, the medical team decided to modify Gabriel’s treatment to better combat the lung infection. Here are the main elements:
✅ Ongoing Treatment
- Antibiotic change: the previous antibiotic was no longer sufficiently effective. Gabriel is now receiving Meropenem, a more powerful antibiotic.
- Higher quality oxygen: an enriched bottled oxygen (probably Oxynitro) was urgently ordered, as his saturation remained low. It was delivered in the afternoon and should help improve lung expansion.
- Saturation: it was fluctuating between 86 and 90% in the morning, but rose to 89/90% after adjustment. However, a drop to 80% was noted later.
