Gabriel spent the night with his cousin Milena, who came to our rescue when we were at our worst, exhausted and on edge.
It did us a world of good. Thanks a million, Milena. đź’›
Today, Gabriel has remained stable. His breathing seems a little calmer than yesterday.
He’s starting his second day of pulsotherapy (out of three).
The medical team has started to gradually reduce the sedatives – which can lead to a withdrawal syndrome – but so far, so good.
They are also gradually reducing respiratory assistance, with the hope of soon returning to a simple cannula.
The UTI remained virtually closed all day: out of an 8-hour presence, we were only able to see him for an hour…
Also, one of her roommates was allowed out of the UTI!
She was born on the same day as Gabriel, has also been through bronchiolitis, caught bacteria, and fought like a true warrior.
And finally, after many ups and downs, she’s out.
