Gabriel spent the night with his mom. This morning, the doctor came by and confirmed that his condition remains stable. He reminded us that we need to be patient: real changes will be visible at the end of the week, after the scheduled CT scan.
During the day, Gabriel woke up crying several times, but each time he fell back asleep in less than a minute.
Regarding respiratory parameters: the oxygen concentration was increased to 30% because his saturation was a bit low. At the same time, the PEEP was reduced to 6 cmH₂O. PEEP (Positive End-Expiratory Pressure) is a setting on the respiratory machine that keeps the lungs open between breaths to prevent their collapse. It’s an important indicator of the minimum pressure exerted on the lungs. It was previously at 8, which was a bit high; 6 is a normal value, which is reassuring.
Blood test results are normal, and the lung X-ray shows no significant change. We remain in a phase of waiting and stability.
