Hello Son,
Yesterday, you slept a lot.
Then you woke up in the morning with an obvious sore throat, a runny nose, and you really weren’t feeling well.
The respiratory therapist came by and found you tired. She said your lungs had more crackles. She gave you the emergency treatment, and thankfully it brought you relief. After that, you were better. We even called grandpa and grandma in France and had a good time together.
In the afternoon, things were a bit better. No fever. We continued ibuprofen, dipyrone, we increased the corticosteroids, all exactly as the doctor advised over the phone.
By the way, the doctor couldn’t come by, unfortunately. But in the evening, the fever returned around 5 or 6 PM. It went down when you fell asleep.
And you had a decent night. You’re sleeping a lot.
This morning, you woke up, I gave you your first stomach medicine, and right after that you started crying. It was very clear that you had a sore throat.
You also have spots appearing everywhere. Are we thinking hand, foot, and mouth disease?
What’s certain is that according to yesterday’s therapists, both the physical therapist and the motor therapist, you probably have some kind of flu.
And given your obliterative bronchiolitis condition, it’s something we take very seriously.
Meanwhile, for the third consecutive week, the weekend afternoon respiratory physiotherapist didn’t show up. Without warning. Without a message. I’ve already filed 2 complaints with the insurance, multiple times, but as usual, no one answers. Total silence.
I hope this day goes well.
I love you
Dad
