Hello Son,
Yesterday was a pretty good day.
However, there’s still a big challenge.
Giving you your medication, especially Esio, which needs to be taken half an hour before eating.
And especially anything liquid. Water, in particular, which you almost always refuse.
The speech therapist came to help us. He gave us some guidance. We’re trying to follow it, but it’s complicated, especially in the evening when you’re tired and don’t accept much anymore.
Luckily, yesterday it seemed to work, judging by all your little pees… fingers crossed!
Today, we laughed a lot.
Since we came back from the hospital, Grandpa often shows you a funny puppet he named Pimprenelle from a distance. And today, he brought it out for real. You loved it. You couldn’t stop looking at it.
You also gave your grandparents lots of smiles. They were very happy.
Last night, your mom left.
She has some things to sort out for her work and she’ll be back in a few days.
In the meantime, it’ll just be the two of us guys, and Grandma and Grandpa are coming to see us this afternoon.
And there’s always someone to help us. So it should all go well.
Goal: to improve your fluid intake and make sure everything goes well so that when Mom comes back, we can all celebrate a wonderful Christmas together with Grandma and Grandpa.
I love you
Dad
