Last night, we called in a new caregiver whom we know well and who is experienced in looking after children in hospital. We took the opportunity to sleep together at home.

This morning, when I arrived at 6am, I immediately noticed that Gabriel’s gastric tube was coming out. The orderly who was looking after him hadn’t noticed. Fortunately, the milk didn’t get into his lungs. This is already the third time he’s lost his tube. I can’t wait for the day when he’ll be able to feed himself without it!

Apart from that, the day went well. Gabriel is stable. His body temperature is slightly higher than usual (37°C), but within normal limits.

When he’s awake, he spends his time smiling and marvelling at everything. It’s a real pleasure to see and talk to him.

Next week, we should have more information on what happens next.

In parallel :

  • We are still looking for someone to pick up our cat Pompom 😉
  • We have all our kitesurfing equipment for sale: click here to see the list and links to the ads.
  • We’re planning to set up an association in France, and maybe in Brazil too, to raise funds if need be. (We’ve already been asked several times if we have a kitty, so we’re thinking about it).
