Gabriel had a good night, peaceful and uneventful.
The day passed calmly, with Manuela and Geraldine by his side.
Some blood tests from August 3, which were still unavailable, were apparently redone today.
The good news is that his blood sugar now seems to be stabilized.
In the afternoon, the dressing on his PICC was changed.
But this evening, to our unpleasant surprise, we found that it had already been opened. When we tried to re-dress the wound, we discovered that the PICC had been removed.
Gabriel will therefore probably have to return to the OR to insert a new central catheter or another venous access in the next few days.
At the same time, we started looking for an apartment. It’s a new stage in the process, bringing us closer to care while trying to create a new cocoon for our little boy when he’s discharged from hospital.
