Gabriel spent the night with his cousin Silvania, who pampered him and took good care of him.
During the night, his central line was moved (I don’t know yet where it was placed).
At first glance, everything seems stable.
This morning, his grandmother who came from France (in good shape again) came to watch over him, while his grandfather Robert improvises small missions by walking the hospital corridors, translator in hand, to retrieve the results of blood tests and X-rays. 🙂
More information this afternoon after seeing the doctor.
10:45 PM
The doctor told us this morning that he was going to have a lung scan.
The objective is to observe in detail the damage caused by the infection.
The wait was long… before we could do this scan. Then at 5 PM, for the first time since his admission to intensive care, he left the room in his bed accompanied by an oxygen bottle, a heart monitor, and three people around him, including one who was helping him breathe manually with a bag.
This may seem impressive, but consider that two weeks ago, he was so weak that taking him out was not even conceivable. So this is an improvement!
The journey went well. He stayed awake the whole time and observed the people around him.
The scan doctor told me: “Your son is a Highlander.”
We then waited several hours before getting the results.
But the conclusions are difficult to understand, as they are so technical.
To summarize: The doctor just told us that there are still significant lesions and she will analyze them tomorrow with a specialist to determine the next steps.
Patience…
