Gabriel spent a more restless night with Amelia and his dad.
Around 4-5 a.m., he experienced a tachycardia episode and his breathing became heavier, with a slight fever.
After the physiotherapist and the doctor came by, we noticed that her venous access, through which her infusions pass, was inflamed and slightly red.
We were afraid it was an infection.
Later that day, however, blood tests showed no signs of infection.
This was a great relief, because after his recent pulsotherapy, his immune system remains very fragile, and any small risk of infection represents a danger to him.
The rest of the day stabilized, and this evening Gabriel is breathing well.
He’s fast asleep, right next to me, as I write this.
Every day is a struggle, but we remain hopeful.
