Gabriel had a stable night.
Yesterday we learned that the hospital now closes its doors at 11pm. You can still stay inside, but you can’t go out or come in during the night. This puts our schedule into a bit of a tailspin, as we used to split the night in 2, and we’ve lost access to the coffee machine. In other words, our continued presence with Gabriel is under increasingly difficult conditions…
This morning, the doctor killed a fly in the room with his bare hands. Ninja!
In the afternoon, he informed us that Gabriel’s leukocytes were very low. In response, all antibiotics and antifungal medication have been stopped. He is being closely monitored. His oxygen saturation is a little lower than yesterday.
The pneumologist, expected on Monday, will not come until Tuesday. Another day to wait. One more day.
One day good, one day bad, it’s always like that here…
