Gabriel spent a rather stable night.
This morning, we showed him the first videos you sent in. It was funny to see: he stared intently at the screen, and even smiled a few times. He was really concentrating on what was happening on TV.
Medically, his situation remains stable. He is still on a high-flow cannula and oxygen. His breathing is sometimes unstable, depending on the moment. The doctors are waiting for the end of the antifungal treatment before considering pulsotherapy, conditions permitting. The aim would be to reduce the inflammation in his lungs…
Today, what we know is that Gabriel has breathing difficulties due to lung damage and muscle weakness. If the inflammation subsides, there’s a chance he’ll one day be able to breathe unaided.
