10h15
Yesterday, the doctors tried to lower his oxygen level around 7pm, but as his saturation dropped, they returned it to the initial level at 9pm.
The night then passed quietly.
At times, he wakes up, gives us big smiles for several minutes… then starts crying like never before.
In theory, his second pulsotherapy session should start today, lasting three days.
7:27 PM
Pulsotherapy was cancelled, as Gabriel developed a slight fever.
As a precaution, the doctors decided not to take any risks, and carried out a series of blood tests (including blood cultures). Treatment has therefore been postponed, with no specific date set for the moment.
The doctor also explained that Gabriel’s condition remains complex.
His lungs were “well destroyed”, in his words. Gabriel must now learn to live with these after-effects, to which must be added significant muscle fatigue due to the long intubation, the UTI context and the treatments he has received and continues to receive.
We still don’t know when he’ll be discharged, or what kind of care he’ll need afterwards.
Every day is a new battle.
Mission for you
Gabriel has never been so close to coming out of intensive care, and at the same time, it’s impossible to say exactly when.
I feel helpless and I don’t know what to do… So last night, an idea came to me:
Why not show her what’s waiting for her out there?
In his intensive care room, there’s a TV right in front of his bed. I’d like to show him some videos of all of you, to show him that life is great!
Even though he’s still very small and doesn’t understand words, he hears voices, perceives movements, and I’m convinced he feels all the positive energy we send him.
And it’ll give us a bit of energy too! And it makes me useful for something!
So what I’m asking is:
- Make a short video in horizontal format like a TV (vertical doesn’t work on TV, you’ll have your head on one side) (30 seconds to 1 minute).
- You can film yourself in a place you like (garden, beach, mountain, living room…).
- You can simply say a word for him or whatever you like: “We love you Gabriel”, “We’re waiting for you”, “You’re strong”, “We’re here with you”, whatever you like!
Then send it to me via my WhatsApp: https: //wa.me/+33681860358
Then I’ll put it all on the USB key and show him a bit every day!
Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart. This will help her!
