Last night at 9pm, Gabriel was due to receive a drug called Sprivia.
Out of stock.
Manuela asks if she has a prescription to buy it at the pharmacy. They refuse… We have to wait until Monday.
She screams, demands to speak to management.
Management calls in the chief of doctors. They find a way. At 11 p.m. the drug is administered.
Today the results, requested by the infectionnolist (genetic tests etc…) came in.
(we’d been asking for these exams for months on the advice of the hospital in Lyon, France, but we weren’t taken seriously, you know the annoying gringo who doesn’t know what he’s talking about because this is Brazil and thank God everything’s fine).
Result: it seems that there’s something wrong with his immunology… to be verified.

The national company that runs the hospital seems to have finally accepted Gabriel’s complete health plan at home.
9:00 PM
Gabriel was stable all day.
He’s been coughing for the past 2 days. An X-ray was taken in the afternoon but I haven’t been able to see it yet.
Good night to all
