It seems like last week’s Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease set you back five steps, but you’re coming back with ten steps forward. You’re a warrior!
You now eat your three jars of baby food a day quite easily.
We’re even talking about increasing it to four to avoid reflux with the milk you still don’t tolerate well.
The dream team of a nutritionist + 2 speech therapists is working wonders.
Regarding motor skills, your physical therapist suggested putting you in a small box to teach you to sit without stress. And you’re doing quite well. I think we now need to help you learn to transition from lying down to sitting up by yourself and to turn over so you can then start crawling around.
Your breathing has improved since your Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease.
I’d say you’re almost back to your previous level.
This week, we also saw your pulmonologist.
According to her, you’re on the right track. The possibility of taking you off oxygen one day is still viable. When? We don’t know yet if that will be in months or years.
Unfortunately, we also doubled the aerosol doses, much to your displeasure… you hate it.
She thinks your feeding tube is hindering your development and advised us to try a week without using it. We’ll implement what’s needed. I really hope we can remove it and avoid a gastrostomy.
