Last night, Gabriel continued to experience breathing difficulties. Faced with this situation, the doctor ordered an X-ray overnight. The results didn’t show anything significant, but as a precautionary measure, the doctor wanted to investigate further with a CT scan of the lungs.
It has also been decided to carry out a brain scan at the same time. The aim is to check that there are no after-effects linked to everything Gabriel has been through since birth.
The scan was initially scheduled for the middle of the night, around 3am, but had to be postponed. Gabriel was too agitated, and as the doctors cannot sedate him for this examination, it was not possible to carry it out. The scan was therefore rescheduled for this afternoon.

Gabriel spent the day with his mom and Geraldine, while I returned to Fortaleza with all our belongings.
Our house should be rented by Tuesday. Great news!
This morning, Gabriel cried a lot, then calmed down during the day, thanks in particular to an antihistamine.
This afternoon, he underwent a CT scan of his skull, neck and chest.
Skull scan: nothing abnormal! It’s a huge relief, because we’d been living with this anxiety ever since a doctor told us that his brain might have been affected after all those days spent with low saturation.
CT scan of neck: again, all appears normal (to be confirmed).
Chest scan: presence of atelectasis (always the same), but this time the report mentions nothing that could be linked to obliterative bronchiolitis, unlike last time.
As we haven’t yet seen a specialist on these points, it’s best to remain cautious.
I think I can distinguish this typical BO “mosaic” effect on the lung, but I’m not a professional.
We look forward to hearing from the experts in the next few days!
At the end of the day, Gabriel received a visit from Manuela’s godmother and her cousin, who had come all the way from Quinteranópolis. We’d like to take this opportunity to send a big hello to all the readers in and around Quinteranópolis who are following us and praying for Gabriel. We thank you all!
Tonight he was rather quiet, and right now he’s sleeping peacefully.
Good night to you
