Our first night in a room went well.

What a pleasure to be back in the silence and darkness!

We spent the night with Tatan Jaqueline, each on one side of Gabriel, and all went well.

Today, her Tatan has left (thank you so much Jaqueline for all your help and the new clothes for Gabriel!) and Manuela joined me this morning.

Gabriel is stable. He’s still fragile, but he’s getting better. And if things continue as they are, he’ll be fine.

It will take time, care and patience… months, maybe years, before he’s back to full health.

But one day we hope all this will be a distant memory.

That’s our goal.

For our part, we’re organizing as best we can.

We are the new parents of a newborn 24 hours a day, with all the difficulties linked to his state of health, his tubes, his cables…

We have a lot to learn.

The staff were very kind to us. The care is well done. Nothing like what we experienced the first week in this hospital before going to UTI.

Maybe if they’d been like that from the start, Gabriel wouldn’t be where he is today…

However, we have noted some anomalies that have already been reported and corrected.

Gabriel will gradually reduce his sedative intake, and it’s quite possible that he’ll go into withdrawal, especially from the methadone. So we’re preparing for that.

We also need to reorganize so that we can run our 2 companies in parallel and find a new fit for next month.

In short, we’re not going to get bored!
