At one point I woke up with a start, the machine was beeping and his saturation was low. He&#8217;d lost his nasal oxygen catether.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Today, it&#8217;s Amelia and Geraldine who are by his side.<\/p>\n\n<p>Manuela, still bothered by her conjunctivitis, learned that it was probably a bacterial rather than a viral infection.<\/p>\n\n<p>At home, we did a thorough cleaning with the help of a professional: mattresses, curtains and sofas were all washed to clean up the environment.<\/p>\n\n<p>As far as the PGC is concerned, confirmation is in: it hasn&#8217;t been accepted in its entirety, but the essentials are there. I&#8217;ll say more when I have more details. But I believe, for example, that we don&#8217;t have a home care assistant.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The pneumologist was in today. According to him, Gabriel&#8217;s cough is caused by a small, harmless virus. (I haven&#8217;t seen the test results).  <br\/><br\/>The latest CT scan shows improvement in atelectasis, and bronchiolitis obliterans remains stable.  <br\/><br\/>Cautiously, he even raised the possibility that Gabriel could, within a year, go without oxygen if his treatment continues without complications or new infections.  <\/p>\n\n<p>An encouraging prospect, even if we know there&#8217;s still a long way to go.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the evening, we had a nice surprise: Bastien, Gabriel&#8217;s godfather, arrived from France to support us for two weeks.
