4 months ago, we arrived at this hospital with our 22-day-old baby, suffering from respiratory difficulties.<\/p>\n\n

4 months later, we hope to be out for the fifth!<\/p>\n\n

\n Summary of the day:<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n\n

Gabriel’s night was very stable, spent with Geraldine and his dad.<\/p>\n\n

When I arrived this evening, I bumped into Manuela who told me that the day had been rather stable for her too.<\/p>\n\n

\n (As a reminder, Manuela is present during the day and I am present at night, each always accompanied by a helper).<\/em>\n <\/p>\n\n

Our champion continues his respiratory training with his Trilogy Evo machine.<\/p>\n\n

Since the physiotherapist from outside the hospital adjusted the machine, he seems to accept this “therapy” much better.<\/p>\n\n

Doctors continue to reduce sedatives. He had so many that it’s taking a long time…We still have Precedex, Periciazine, Levomepromazine, Lorazepam and Clonidine hydrochloride. <\/p>\n\n

Tonight, his temperature was close to 37.5. As a precaution, they administered a dipyrone and Manuela asked for a PCR test, with no sign of infection.<\/p>\n\n

The blood culture from the 23rd (a day when he was very tired) came out and showed no infection.<\/p>\n\n

Overall, his breathing is better, except when he’s agitated (crying, laughing, upset). We hope that this will continue to improve, but we also know that it’s part and parcel of having bronchiolitis obliterans. <\/p>\n\n

We’re not giving up hope!<\/p>\n\n
