{"id":2305,"date":"2025-07-31T21:09:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-01T00:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hopeforgabriel.com\/31-07\/"},"modified":"2025-11-15T15:42:35","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T18:42:35","slug":"31-07","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hopeforgabriel.com\/en\/31-07\/","title":{"rendered":"31\/07"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\n          <strong>After 90 days in intensive care, Gabriel is finally out of UTI!!!!<\/strong>\n        <\/p>\n\n<p>A very, very, <strong>very<\/strong> moving outing.<\/p>\n\n<p>We&#8217;re delighted that the three of us can finally get together in a room that&#8217;s all ours &#8211; without the <em>beeping<\/em> of the machines every five seconds.<\/p>\n\n<p>A new life begins.<\/p>\n\n<p>We&#8217;re slowly resuming our role as parents: changing his diapers, bathing him, looking after him&#8230; like a real family.<\/p>\n\n<p>Gabriel still wears a small nasal cannula and receives 1 L\/min of oxygen (equivalent to 26% inspired oxygen).<\/p>\n\n<p>Saturation remains at 100% when he&#8217;s asleep. When awake and agitated, it can drop to 89%. <\/p>\n\n<p>He still has his PICC (a central line for administering medication) around his neck, as well as a nasogastric tube for feeding. He is currently receiving 47 ml of milk per hour. <\/p>\n\n<p>The staff are <strong>very attentive<\/strong>, nothing like our first experience in a room before entering UTI.<\/p>\n\n<p>The room is comfortable: small sofa, mini-fridge, TV, bathroom with toilet&#8230; A real VIP cocoon!<\/p>\n\n<p>And this time, you can take photos and videos, and even work right next to it.<\/p>\n\n<p>We plan to stay here for at least a month, maybe two. The aim is to continue the treatment. Gabriel will probably receive a <strong>third course of pulsotherapy<\/strong> within the next four weeks, as well as<strong>at least three physiotherapy sessions a day<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Last night, his mom finally got some well-deserved rest.<\/p>\n\n<p>We look after him with his Auntie Jaqueline, who&#8217;s holding him in her arms at the moment&#8230; and he seems to love it.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After 90 days in intensive care, Gabriel is finally out of UTI!!!!
