He was opening his eyes a little, moving his feet slightly, and seemed serene.  <\/p>\n\n<p>His oxygen saturation varies a lot between 89 and 99, like the day before, but this doesn&#8217;t seem too concerning.<\/p>\n\n<p>The corticosteroid treatment ended last night (3 days). <\/p>\n\n<p>This morning, the doctor examined Gabriel and noted a <strong>clear improvement upon auscultation<\/strong>: air is circulating better in the bronchi, even if it&#8217;s not yet perfect. <\/p>\n\n<p>He is satisfied and confirmed that <strong>the objective now is to remove the intubation tube<\/strong>. No date has been announced, it probably won&#8217;t be this week. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>First step starting today:<\/strong> gradually lower the oxygen concentration (from 28% to 25%) to aim for the natural 21%. This will depend on Gabriel&#8217;s reaction. <\/p>\n\n<p>\n          <strong>Next steps envisioned:<\/strong>\n        <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CT scan scheduled for Thursday or Friday.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bronchoscopy to see the condition of the bronchi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Removal of the tube if possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tracheotomy mentioned only as a last resort, if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong> rather positive discourse from the doctor this morning, with signs of improvement and a plan for gradual removal of heavy equipment.<\/p>\n\n<p>Fingers crossed!!!!<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gabriel spent part of the night with his mom.
