I’m going to share more about our daily life and EVERYTHING<\/strong> that happens here with a lot of humor. Get ready, I’m a big fan of J\u00e9r\u00e9my Ferrari! <\/p>\n\n Gabriel had a rather stable day yesterday, by his mother’s side. <\/p>\n\n As for me, I wasn’t in the right mental state to respect anyone and preferred to keep my distance.<\/p>\n\n In the afternoon, Gabriel had a bradycardia episode (heart rate slowing to 50bpm + feeling of suffocation and face turning red). Manuela had to let out a small cry to get help because all the staff were attending to another child who was also having problems. <\/p>\n\n It’s important to know that when Gabriel cries, he doesn’t make any sound because of the tube he’s had in his little throat for 8 weeks.<\/p>\n\n Meanwhile, another parent discovered a fly in their daughter’s mouth. <\/p>\n\n It tickles, it’s funny, right?<\/p>\n\n I propose a new concept: Loft Story ICU<\/strong>, or its local equivalent Big Brother Brasil ICU<\/strong>. I’m sure it would be a hit! <\/p>\n\n Gabriel then spent the night with his cousin Milena, and everything seems to have gone well during the night. It’s really great for us to have help like this, and last night we were able to spend time together and have a proper meal. <\/p>\n\n This morning, I couldn’t see Gabriel because the door was closed, probably due to care being given to one of the children. It will reopen at 12 PM after the baths, most likely. <\/p>\n\n In the meantime, I crushed a cockroach with my foot in front of the door. <\/p>\n\n It’s the first one I’ve encountered at the hospital. <\/p>\n\n I understood that it was going to meet with flies and ants for the Hospital’s Inter-species Hygiene Committee.<\/p>\n\n Anyway…<\/p>\n\n For the continuation of Gabriel’s adventures… I’m waiting for the doctor’s opinion to know what the plans are.<\/p>\n\n On that note, there’s a very humane doctor here that we greatly admire. This morning, as he was passing in the hallway, he gave me a little pat on the arm, with a look that said: \u201cI understand, but it’s going to be okay.\u201d<\/em> It warmed my heart. <\/p>\n\n The ICU finally opened its doors around 1 PM.<\/p>\n\n When I entered, Gabriel was crying and very red. After a few minutes, I managed to calm him down, then he fell asleep. <\/p>\n\n The doctor told me that his condition is stable. He has had early signs of fever for a few days, but no signs of infection. <\/p>\n\n And, since he has contracted a new bacteria, it’s not possible to start pulse therapy (we knew this).
